An analysis of The Legal 500 ranking results – the big winners were: Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co. with the highest number of increases in rankings, and Herzog Fox & Neeman and Meitar Liquornik Geva Leshem Tal with the highest number of Tier 1 appearances – 14 in total.
The prestigious international ranking guide The Legal 500 published the results of its annual ranking and an analysis of these results shows that this year, nearly 50 ranking increases and 45 new entries were recorded (almost doubling last year’s ranking of 35 increases and 24 new entries). Most of the changes were mainly in Litigation, while in Class Actions and Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, there were almost no changes compared to the previous ranking.
This year, there were 21 decreases in the departmental ranking, compared with 11 in last year’s ranking.
In the personal ranking, there were a total of 19 new entries in the Leading Individuals category, compared to only 14 new entries in the same category last year.
This year there were 14 departures from the ranking compared with 30 from last year’s ranking.
Two areas of specialization, out of the 22 ranked, had the smallest number of increases and decreases: Class Actions, Dispute Resolution and Arbitration – 2 increases, one departure from the ranking, and one new personal ranking in the Leading Individuals category, respectively.
Litigation recorded the greatest number of fluctuations: 8 ranking increases, 3 double increases, 3 new entries and 1 decrease.
15 increases were recorded of firms in Tier 1: Fischer Behar and Naschitz Brandes in Capital Markets, Yigal Arnon in Mergers and Acquisitions, Goldfarb Seligman in Litigation, Tadmor and Yigal Arnon in Energy and Infrastructure, Goldfarb Seligman and S. Horowitz in Health and Life Sciences, S. Horowitz in Intellectual Property – Transactions, Fischer Behar had a double increase reaching first place in Planning and Construction, Herzog Fox & Neeman, Weksler Bregman and Yigal Arnon in Planning and Construction, Fischer Behar had a double increase reaching first place in Debt Arrangements, and Ziv Sharon in Taxes.
Fischer Behar was the firm with the highest number of increases in the departmental ranking; 6 increases – out of which 2 were double increases to Tier 1 in Debt Arrangements and Planning and Construction.
Herzog Fox & Neeman and Meitar Liquornik Geva Leshem Tal had the highest number of Tier 1 appearances – 14 in total.
