M&A deal activity in the Israel market has rebounded, boosted by the resilience of its high-tech sector, while the increase in value can be partly attributed to the recent abundance of US SPACs who have been exploring markets outside of the US for their targets.

In a table this week published by Mergermarket, five Israeli law firms feature in the top 20 (by value) in announced transactions in the Middle Eastern & African region between January and 21 June 2021: Goldfarb; Gornitzky; Herzog Fox & Neeman; Meitar and Yigal Arnon.

In the deal volume table, Meitar pip Herzog Fox & Neeman to pole position with Yigal Arnon taking third spot in a 20-strong league table packed with all the global law firms. Goldfarb Seligman & Co. Erdinast, Ben Nathan, Toledano & Co. With Hamburger Evron, and Fischer (FBC & Co.) all break into the top 20 across the whole region, while Naschitz Brandes Amir & Co. make it a super seven for Israeli law firms in the table.
