ITR’s World Tax and World Transfer Pricing 2021 for Israel Published

The International Tax Review World Tax’s  2021 guide to the world’s leading tax law and accounting practices, was published last week. This comes closely after the 2020 publication which was in June 2020, thus making the current release an extension and modification of the previous release.

World Tax ranks law firm and accountancy firms in four areas of expertise: general taxation, private clients’ real estate taxation, and tax litigation. In addition, the individual ranking highlihgts those ranked as Tax Leader or as Highly Regarded, in three categories: women in the field of taxation, litigation of taxation, and indirect taxation.

The International Tax Review also published the 2021 world Transfer Pricing ranking, which rates transfer pricing service providers in more than 50 jurisdictions globally

General Taxation- 

There weren’t any significant changes besides the upgrade of Meitar to Tier 1.

Private Clients –

Herzog Fox Neeman remained the only firm at the top after S. Horowitz moved to Tier 2. Meitar moved up to Tier 2 and Gornitzky joined this quality group as well.

Real Estate Taxation – 

Since the June 2020 publiction, nearly all of the ranking has changed. Tier 1 now includes two offices that were not included in the previous ranking – Gornitzky and Meir Mizrahi. Tier 2 now includes Meitar, which dropped from Tier 1, in addition to Herzog and Tulchinsky.

Accounting firms BDO and Deloitte joined Yigal Arnon in Tier 3. Shekel & Co. entered the ranking under other notables.

Tax Litigation –

Alter  and Barnea entered the ranking and joined Drucker & Co. In Tier 3. Binyamini & Co. entered the ranking under other notable.

Individual Ranking –

• Individual ranking consist of 33 lawyers and accountants.
• Leading women in tax – Henriette Fox (Pearl Cohen), Iris Weinberger (Herzog), Anat Shavit (Fischer Behar) and Michal Zilberstein (D. Potchebutzky).
• Ten attorneys are mentioned in the personal ranking- tax litigation: Meir Linzen, Kobi Sharvit and Ofer Granot (Herzog), Eran Lampert and Ofir Levy (Yigal Arnon), Pini Rubin and Daniel Paserman (Gornitzky), Lior Neumann (S. Horowitz), Ziv Sharon (Ziv Sharon Office) and Moshe Shekel (Shekel & Co.), which entered the ranking for the first time.
• Five attorneys are mentioned in the personal ranking – indirect taxation: Meir Linzen and Iris Weinberger (Herzog), Ehud Kornfeld (Eitan Mehulal Sadot), Anat Shavit (Fischer Behar) and Michal Zilberstein (D. Potchebutzky).
• Other attorneys mentioned as leaders in the field (Tax Leaders): Tal Atzmon (Goldfarb), Eldar Ben Ruby and Shaul Grossman (Meitar), Gil Gerdi (Gornitzky), Doron Levy (Amit Pollak Matalon), Yaron Mehulal (Eitan Mehulal Sadot), Yaniv Shekel (Shekel & Co.) and Eyal Shenhav (Gross).
