It would be an understatement to say that 2020 has been a challenging year for all businesses, across all sectors, as well as for the law firms that represent them.

And yet, the damage done to Israel’s economy by the crisis has been far less than in most other developed countries, the Central Bureau of Statistics reports – in part because of the strong showing by Israeli exports this year, led by the tech sector. While there is some way to go, we are seeing big and smaller deals – among them – the USD1.4 Billion SPAC merger for Israeli start-up Innoviz in December, the USD1.1 Billion sale of cybersecurity firm Checkmarx to global private equity firm Hellman & Friedman, the USD 3 Billion sale of contact lens retailer, 1-800 Contacts and its Israeli subsidiary to US investment giant, KKR, and more.

We are excited to open the 3rd edition of our IsraelDesks League Tables. With 2021 around the corner, never has it been more important to showcase your involvement in Israel.

As we did last year, we are asking law firms to complete a straightforward template and nominate their lead lawyers on the matters submitted so we can position leading individuals as market leaders.

The sectors include Energy & Infrastructure and Banking & Finance (both NEW), High-Tech, and Real Estate, while we are looking for Israel-related M&A, capital markets, employment, litigation, Patents and IP matters.
