A number of flagship transactions took place, including the first international bonds offering for Israel Discount Bank as it issued USD 800 million in senior bonds, with Meitar  and Davis Polk & Wardwel acting for the bank, Herzog (local counsel), and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LL (international counsel) for the underwriters, and Israeli fintech company PayEm raised USD 200 million in credit financing from Viola Credit, represented by DLA Piper.

This week saw the Israeli legal market become the news, as the recent flurry of law firm mergers continues. Following the largest law firm merger (Goldfarb Seligman and Gross Law Firm),  Naschitz, Brandes, Amir & Co. joined with Shenhav, Konforti, Rotem & Co. and became Israel’s 9th largest.
