As time ticks on toward Israel’s general election, the business news is heavily international this past week.

Israel and Lebanon have signed a landmark agreement on the maritime border as gas explorations at the Karish Gas field get underway. As Israel-Morocco relations are also come under the spotlight, Ginegar Plastic Products Limited has signed an agreement to establish a joint venture with a company in Morocco, with Lipa Meir & Co.  acting with local counsel. 
UK-listed Alphawave IP Group spent USD 240 million to buy Banias Labs, represented by Yigal Arnon – Tadmor Levy Finnish private equity firm Nordic Capital acquired Israeli EQUASHIELD . Latham & Watkins acted for the buyer.  

Domestically, Herzog acts for Shikun & Binui in the creation of the Ofek Rahav base in Ramle, which will be the IDF’s largest multi-division base, while Meitar advised Israeli insurtech company Vesttoo as it became the latest unicorn after raising USD 80 million Series C financing. 

Last, H-F & Co.  is shortlisted for EMEA firm of the year by Women in Business in Law Global Awards (only Israeli firm to be nominated) and DLA Piper’s Jeremy Lustman comments on the future of Israel Morocco economic ties.
