Real estate deals are up front and center this week as major Israeli institutions bought up buildings in the US and UK.
Greenberg Traurig acted for Clal Insurance, Menora Mivtachim Insurance, and Amitim Pension Funds in a landmark acquisition of the CBS Building in New York City, while Shlomo Insurance Ltd. and Harel Insurance & Finance, together with CIM Group, jointly acquired an office complex near London, with Gornitzky and Taylor Wessing acting.
There were cross-border acquisitions, with Japan’s Renesas Electronics buying Israel-based Celeno Communications for USD 315M, with Goldfarb Seligman advising, while Uniphore of the US bought Israel’s Jacada in a strategic acquisition, with Erdinast, Ben Nathan, Toledano & Co. With Hamburger Evron and Meitar involved.
